NASA'S Mars 'BATMOBILE' : Electric vehicle has six wheels and is made entirely of carbon fibre and aluminium

The radical concept is unveiled by NASA on the on the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and would be the inspiration for future rovers for the first manned missions to the red planet.

The full sized Nasa Mars rover has been in development since the end of 2016 and it looks a lot like the Batmobile.

The angular concept vehicle has six wheels consists entirely of carbon fiber and aluminum and is solar energy.

It was designed for four astronauts and has its own detachable laboratory.

While this exact rover is not expected to be working on Mars, one or more of the elements can make its way to a rover astronauts will ride on the red planet. ' NASA says.

The builders of the scientific-themed Mars rover concept vehicle, Parker Brothers concepts of Port Canaveral, Florida, NASA's input in its design subject matter experts.

The rover works on an electric motor, powered by solar panels and a 700-volt battery.

The rover separates in the middle with the front section designed for scouting and equipped with a radio and navigation provided by the Global Positioning System.

The back section acts as a laboratory for autonomous research can be unplugged.

After several weeks on display at Kennedy's visitor complex, the Mars rover concept vehicle appear on different locations.

NASA'S BATMOBILE

  • Measures 28 feet (8.5m) long, 13 feet (4m) wide, and 11 feet (3.4m) tall
  • Estimated weight of 5,000 pounds (2,250kg)
  • Rear area is a detachable lab, while the front area is a cockpit for scouting
  • Made entirely of carbon fibre and aluminium
  • Six wheels that measure 50 inches (1.3m) tall, 30 inches (75cm) wide
  • Battery powered using solar panels
  • Top speed of 60-70 miles per hour (95-110kph)

From July to August, it appears in different locations during a tour along the East Coast.

The Mars rover concept car then returns to the visitor complex as part of the new attraction of the
Astronaut training experience opening in the fall of this year.

According to Rebecca Shireman, assistant manager of public relations for the complex, Kennedy-visitor offers the ' summer of Mars' programme an overview of NASA'sstudies of the red planet.

Honda Civic Type R‬‬ – The fastest and most powerful Civic ever made

They want more-rounds, even brutal hours, some argue for full day – with the new Honda Civic Type R, Honda sticks to her word, but rules here on the day of the debut song Type R for some commentators, two laps. None the less. Do not anymore.

On the company's pure, five kilometres outside of work test facilities for their research and development Pelt everyone from the driver's seat with reluctance, the views and wishes of, usually, a little shaky in their steps.

So what can you learn in two laps around Japan-spec, right drive, six-speed manual Type R?

No one got much past third gear to realize the car "is on the track," like a product Planner. This is a total bad boy with something to prove.

306 HP packaged in four-cylinder engines a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, 295 pound-feet of torque and a short-throw, six-speed manual transmission, addictive fun.

In the mode of comfort there is satisfactory and it does spin sticky at the corners, if a little hungry for more. Switch to sport mode, though, and it's clear that it's a little hatchback hunger for the song.

Based on the Civic hatch but built with updated body and chassis, the Type-R is the fastest and most powerful Civic ever made.

Preproduction models caused a record front-wheel-drive on the famous Nurburgring in Germany in early April, the 305-HP Volkswagen GTI Club sport marked by six seconds.

In a press release at that time, Honda explained that cornering speed and stability results from wider tracks, and a new Multilink suspension optimized.

On the way to dealers now Canada is also the first Honda Type R badge with Canada. Honda plans to issue only three or four for each vehicle dealer Canada, making this exclusive takeover civil variant.

Prices have not been released, but the expected from the Type-R top $40.000 must be encrypted.

Only one trim level sold in Canada, full version with seven-inch touch screen, integrated closed Honda navigation, Apple and Android car CarPlay compatibility and blind spot Honda LaneWatch again.

Sharp and sporty Interior solid leather seats, sport steering wheel, aluminum shift knob, aluminum sports pedals and Red Type R badge detail.

Audio system anchored by 542-watt, 12-speaker sound setup. But drivers are advised to fully disabled. Better sound comes the throaty growls ominously pouring from the eager type R.

The vehicle is equipped with 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels and performance tires. In addition to the comfort and Sport modes, there is a + R option to a more dynamic drive.

Get ready for more SUBARU WRX STI TYPE RA NBR SPECIAL

Subaru has been tempting a few new vehicles before 8 June debut, and now we know what one is. Japan Automobile manufacturers announced that it was a WRX STI type RA NBR Special to try to record a new round around the famous Nürburgring Germany was built

Type RA-badge has appeared in many of the previous WRX models, and stands for"notes" or "rally the applicant" depends on the model and the destination (in this case, it is likely the former). NBR certainly stands for the Nürburgring, as Subaru gunning for a record-setting round of four-door saloon on the challenge circuit this summer.

Subaru also released a teaser image of the roof of the carbon fiber car

But the WRX is not the only automaker that has a Subaru is a pest. Other car manufacturers teaser pictures released earlier this week, and contrary to what some other outlets have reported, we believe that it shows BRZ this Impreza – is not set.

We have not in our parking BRZ to confirm, but we have a similar-enough Scion FR-S (courtesy of Super Street Tapiwa Tolosa). We compare two cars as close as we can get below. Take a look and decide for yourself.

Subaru says we can expect more details on the WRX STI Type RA NBR Special on June 8, and we believe that we will also get details on a new variant of the BRZ.  Stay tuned.

Cyborg dragonfly spy takes to the sky for the first time

The program make a cyborg named Dragonfly has successful tied a small backpack equipped with electronics, sensors and a solar cell to a living insect – and it has taken to the skies for its maiden flight.

The DragonflEye is controlled by pulses of light sent through the pack to specific neurons in the brain, allowing remote control of the drone-like bug to guide pollination or explore areas that are unsuitable for humans.

Cyborg dragonfly was developed by researchers at Draper and Howard Hughes Medical Institute Janelia Research on Campus, which in January unveiled the first genetically modified insect.

' DragonflEye is a completely new kind of micro-aerial vehicle that is smaller, lighter and stealthier than anything else that is man-made, "said Jesse j. Wheeler, biomedical engineer at Draper and principal investigator on the program said earlier this year.

' This system pushes the boundaries of energy harvesting, motion sensing, algorithms, miniaturization and opto-genetics, all-in-one system small enough for an insectto carry. '

The team designed the backpack to act as the middle ground between the insect and the human controller.

Optegentic guidance tools send commands via the fingernail and medium pack special ' send ' neurons to the brain of the insect.

This allowed the neurons are activated by the light-sent by an interface in the backpack a optrode.

However, the researchers noted that the dragonfly neurons are affected is not damaged during the process, it delivers only the small creature with the ability to fly further and with more skill.

Someday these same tools can further medical treatments in humans, resulting in more effective therapies with fewer side effects, "said Wheeler.

' Our flexible optrode technology delivers a new solution enabling secure access tosmaller, scaled-down diagnostics neural goals and higher precision therapies. '

The neurons kicked than in the usual routine of sending signals to the wings in order to encourage the insect to fly.

The small solar panels were also tied up around the backpack harvest energy to power the drone-like system.

By adding this technique, instead of a battery, the Dragon fly not only fly further and longer, but it can also carry additional load.

Not only is this a breakthrough in technology, but the researchers believe that the cyborg dragonfly will soon be used for guided pollination, reconnaissance and even precision medicine and Diagnostics.
