Franky Zapata, the inventor of the futuristic hoverboard, is sending ripples across the wide sea of the coast of Sausset - the - pines, France, as he zoomed in the sky.
The Air Flyboard is a device that allows users to fly untethered across the sky at an incredible height of 10,000 feet (3 048 m), which is almost seven times that of the Empire State Building.
Mr Zapata's original Flyboards are popular with the likes of Justin Bieber and Kylie Jenner - but his latest invention puts Marty McFly's hoverboard to shame.
The device uses a 'independent drive unit"to fly for about 10 minutes and has a topspeed of 93 mph (150 kph), Zapata Racing says.
"Create, innovate and never give up are the values that helped me realize my dreams," says Mr Zapata.
' Who has ever dreamed of jumping out of the water and in the air, free of all constraints? It's the dream that is at the origin of the products that we offer.
"I'm proud to see our machines operate on six continents and to attend the sensations they evoke, either for beginners or advanced users."
Flyboard Air is not yet for sale to the public of the United States or the United Kingdom, and it is unclear how much it will cost.
Earlier versions of the Flyboards are available for purchase worldwide for between$2 675 (£ 1 577) and $12,000 (£ 9 626) and can also be rented at various centres in the United States and the United Kingdom.
