Apple will kill some of iPhone's greatest hits with the roll out of iOS 11

Updates planned for the Apple operating system could soon some of your favorite applications make it obsolete.

A caveat is in the beta-test version of iOS 10.3 can mean the end of the road for some of the oldest and most beloved software available for the smartphone.

Apps and games on the developers indie like Ocarina and great light saber, is likely to be most affected by the movement.

BONFIRE OF THE APPS

In October, 2016, Apple removed more than 47,000 apps, who had not received an update in the last two years or more, from the App Store.

This represents an increase of 238%, according to Tech Crunch.

Apps and games on the developers indie is likely to be most affected by the abolition of support for 32-bit applications.

Affected applications are likely to include:

Ocarina

Great Lightsaber

Ridiculous Fishing

Peggle Classic

Canabalt

Hundreds

Aquaria

Tens of thousands of apps could be affected.

The introduction of more powerful 64-bit processors has meant that programmers need to update legacy applications to be fully compatible.

Apple has prompted developers to make the necessary adjustments, but has maintained support for the older 32-bit software to date.

The previous version of the iPhone operating system warned applications 32 bits "can slow down your iPhone."

But a new caution in iOS 10.3 beta reads: "this application will not work with future versions of iOS.
The developer of this application must be updated to improve its compatibility.

The 64-bit infrastructure was introduced with the launch of the iPhone 5s in September 2013.

Developers were able to launch applications 64-bit since February 2015 and update existing applications since June 2015.

But Apple seems to force the hands of software engineers who are not even update their coding.

The final version of iOS 10.3 should be made public in March or April 2017.

While the changes rolled out are little likely to immediately remove the 32-bit support, it seems likely that it will be removed for the launch of iOS 11 at the latest.

Apple has not previously deployed new older devices operating systems are unlikely to be affected.

But consumers using tablets and compatible phones will have to update their applications once they have installed iOS 11.

It is unclear when iOS 11 comes out.

iOS 10.3 FEATURES

iOS 10.3 is defined to include a number of changes, many have been discovered since the launch of the beta-test version.

Among these is a highly anticipated "theater Mode".

This feature is designed to mute a haptic feedback, block messages and incoming calls and reduce the brightness of the screen during a movie, according to Apple insider.

The new service could be similar to the "do not disturb" iPhones that mutes the sound of the alerts when turned on.

Find it that my iPhone app is also due to receive an update that will allow users to locate their Airpod, if they are within the scope of all iOS Bluetooth devices.

If the Airpod are within reach of all signed in iCloud and available iOS devices, location of the device will be used to show the user where to start looking for lost headphones.

The application will also be able to play a sound on one or two Airpod to help users to find their location.
